HP Now and Your Organization

Employers are beginning to realize that they face a nearly invisible but significant drain on productivity: presenteeism, the problem of workers’ being on the job but, because of illness or other medical conditions, not fully functioning.

By some estimates, the phenomenon costs U.S. companies over $150 billion a year—much more than absenteeism does.

- Lou Holtz

By supporting employee energy - and thereby boosting satisfaction and engagement - elevates a business’s overall productive power by an average of +24 per cent.

- Research conducted by Bain & Co. and the Economist Intelligence Unit shows that

Wellbeing interventions can provide significant ROI, with an average return of 520%, with the most effective interventions delivering a more than 10x ROI

- Research conducted by Deloitte

These costs are just the tip of the iceberg because, even in the absence of a specific health condition, more subtle issues such as fatigue and disengagement can significantly affect performance, productivity and sustainability at both individual and organizational levels.
